Akela Intérim is looking for a heavy truck driver with an auxiliary crane (M/F) for a recognized player in metal recycling and recovery.
You will be at the heart of an activity essential to the collection chain, in an environment where safety and service quality guide every day.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for collecting and transporting metals and industrial waste, in compliance with safety instructions and current regulations.
Your main responsibilities:
– Carry out planned collections from clients, suppliers, or internal sites
– Load and unload metals using the auxiliary crane or appropriate handling methods
– Check load distribution and conformity of collected materials
– Complete transport documents and submit them to operations
– Perform daily vehicle checks and first-level maintenance
– Strictly adhere to safety instructions, the Highway Code, and driving times
– Represent the company to clients with a professional and courteous attitude
Each route relies on precise organization and rigorous safety protocols.
You will work closely with operations and field teams to ensure smooth and reliable transport.
Contract: Temporary / mission
Minimum salary: 13.5 EUR / hour
Maximum salary: 17.0 EUR / hour
You enjoy assignments that require rigor and practical sense.
You know how to combine driving, handling, and customer relations effectively:
– Valid Class C (heavy truck) license, Class EC/articulated truck license is a plus
– FIMO/FCO (initial/continuing professional qualification for drivers), driver card, and up-to-date medical examination
– Mandatory CACES Auxiliary Crane certification with confirmed experience
– Desired knowledge in mechanics and hydraulics for routine maintenance
– Good autonomy and organizational skills in managing routes
– Rigor in complying with safety instructions and transport documents
– Good interpersonal skills with on-site contacts and clients
Supported integration will allow you to discover the routes, types of metals, and best practices of the site.
You will also be able to develop your skills in other activities related to reception or operating machinery.
