What will you do?
As a truck driver in training at PostNL, you will start as a co-driver on a truck. You will assist the driver with loading and unloading roll containers and pallets and drive along on various routes throughout the Netherlands. This way, you will learn how our logistics work, how to drive safely, and how to collaborate with customers and colleagues.
In the meantime, you will follow your C and/or CE training, with the goal of obtaining your CE driving license within 6 months. The training will be fully paid for by PostNL, and the time you spend on your training will be paid.
As soon as you obtain your driving license, you will get behind the wheel of your own PostNL truck. You will primarily drive routes between our sorting centers and major customers: longer distances, few stops, and well-organized work. You will receive your schedule every Thursday, so you know exactly what to expect.
What do you bring?
You are motivated to become a driver and eager to learn. You are a good driver, enjoy getting things done, and appreciate a well-organized workday.
Furthermore:
- You have a valid Dutch driving license B (driving license C/CE is not required).
- You are proficient in the Dutch language.
- You are available to work in a rotating pattern (early, day, late, night). If you wish, you can also work on Sundays or public holidays (not mandatory).
- You are a go-getter and enjoy working independently.
- You are physically able to load and unload roll containers and pallets.
- You have your own transport to the base location.
- You are reliable and meticulous: keeping appointments is a matter of course for you.
What do we offer you?
- You start with a 12-month contract, with the prospect of a permanent contract upon good performance. A condition is that you obtain your CE driving license within 6 months.
- The CE driving license + Code 95 fully paid by PostNL. Our driver coach will gladly tell you more about the associated conditions.
- Employment conditions according to the PostNL collective labor agreement, including a 20-40% surcharge for evening, night, and Saturday shifts, and a 100% surcharge on Sundays and public holidays. This surcharge averages €300 per month but can go up to €1,000.
- Payment for waiting time.
- Free refresher training Code 95.
- 5 weeks of vacation and 8% holiday pay.

- Pension accrual from 18 years of age.
- Extra worked hours will be paid out. You can also save them up and take them as days off later.
