Job description:
As a truck driver C, you are, together with a colleague, responsible for placing traffic signs during road works. This includes situations where people are setting up a barrier, arranging a diversion, repairing a water pipe, and you ensure that people can work safely on the road. Your daily activities consist of:
- You depart with your heavy vehicle (C driving license) from home to Ede, pick up your colleague there, and also the work material for the day’s planned jobs;
- You load the exact number of traffic signs indicated on the drawing. You receive a drawing with a map of the streets, and it precisely describes which traffic sign should be placed where;
- Collecting all traffic signs when a project is finished is also part of your duties;
Once a month, you have an on-call duty where you must be available from Monday 07:00 AM until Monday 07:00 AM. You will be paid for 40 hours per week + €250 extra. For each call-out, you will be paid for 4 extra hours, even if you only work for one hour!
Job requirements:
As a truck driver C, we expect from you:
- A valid C driving license, code 95, and driver’s card;
- Good command of the Dutch language;
- You are physically fit to independently place a traffic sign in the ground;
- Flexibility, once a month a duty where you must be available on-call from home for the entire week.
For the other 3 weeks of the month, you work day shifts from Monday to Friday.
Employment conditions:
As a truck driver C, you can count on:
- A full-time job for an average of 45 hours per week;
- Starting salary between €18 – €19.50 per hour; if you complete an internal training to become a traffic engineering technician, your salary will increase significantly;
