Job Description:
As a CE driver, you will get your own truck and can specialize in various types of transport. For example, you can work with a crane truck to deliver and load/unload pre-fabricated concrete slabs at construction sites or for private individuals. A role as an internal loader is also available. Additionally, you can work with a low-loader or open trailer; in this case, you will be loaded and unload the cargo yourself. This can sometimes be physically demanding work, requiring you to secure up to twenty lashing straps per load. Do you want to switch specializations after a while? That is certainly possible in consultation.
Your workdays usually start between 04:00 and 05:00, and you will be on the road for approximately 12 to 15 hours per day. You will handle about four stops daily, which usually means two loadings and two unloadings. You will primarily drive one-day national and international routes, as well as multi-day national and international routes in the Benelux and a small part of Germany. It is important that you handle the equipment and cargo neatly and carefully. Good communication with customers and colleagues is essential.
Overnight stays are an option; you can be away from home up to four nights a week. There is also the possibility to stay overnight on weekends on company premises in Asten.
Don’t have a CE driving license yet, but do have a C? No problem. We offer the opportunity to progress to CE. In the meantime, you can help in the workshop with light duties such as tidying up, small repairs, and assisting with tasks.
