Job description, powers and responsibilities
- International truck transport within the EU, focusing on countries such as Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Spain, France and Portugal.
- Transport of full truckload or pallet shipments, ensuring their safe and timely delivery.
- Responsibility for the vehicle and cargo, including regular checks of the vehicle’s technical condition before departure.
- Maintaining accompanying documentation such as CMR, delivery notes and driving records, which are essential for smooth transport.
- Communication with dispatching throughout the transport, including reporting any unforeseen situations or changes in the driving plan.
- A typical day in the job starts with an early morning departure from the depot, followed by the transport of goods to the designated location, observing the prescribed breaks and rest periods.
- Working hours are flexible and may include longer journeys, with adherence to the rules on maximum driving hours and mandatory breaks for drivers being essential.
