Job Description
Are you looking for the power of a semi-trailer truck combined with the comfort of regional day routes?
ACTUAL Experts Conduite sur Route is recruiting a Semi-trailer Truck Driver (M/F) for one of its clients based in Langon. Become a key player in the regional logistics chain by ensuring a precise distribution service, while benefiting from an excellent work-life balance.
Your daily life: Large-format distribution, less stress. Reporting to operations, you will drive a semi-trailer truck for targeted and smooth distribution missions. Forget long courier routes; here, distribution is optimized:
– Targeted deliveries (1 to 3 stores max): Your day revolves around a maximum of one to three store deliveries. Fewer delivery points means more time to maneuver calmly and ensure the quality of your service.
– Regional semi-trailer truck distribution: You ensure the supply of sales points in the region from the Langon logistics platform. No overnight stays; you return home after each shift.
– Docking and secure handling: You perform approach and docking maneuvers with precision. You ensure the unloading of goods in accordance with store reception protocols.
– As a distribution driver, you are the direct link between the platform and the store teams. You cultivate customer relationships with each delivery.
– Route monitoring: You check your transport documents (waybills, delivery notes) and ensure the proper functioning of your road train.
Job Conditions & Schedule:
– Comfortable hours: Shifts exclusively during the day (an ideal rhythm to reconcile professional and personal life).
– Delivery area: Regional (daily departure and return to Langon).
– Support: Our specialized agency supports you step by step
Contract: TEMPORARY
Contract duration: 1 month
Your essentials (prerequisites):
– You hold a valid CE driving license.
– Your FIMO/FCO goods and your driver card (tachograph) are valid.
Your technical & field skills:
– Experience in store distribution: A first successful experience in delivering to supermarkets or businesses with a semi-trailer truck is a strong asset for this position.
– Mastery of semi-trailer truck maneuvers: Store deliveries require excellent mastery of docking maneuvers (sometimes in winding reverse or in narrow unloading areas).
– Dock equipment management: You are comfortable with operating the tail lift and using pallet jacks (manual or electric) to secure unloading.
Your professional qualities:
– Rigor & Punctuality: Stores expect their goods at precise time slots; your adherence to delivery schedules guarantees the fluidity of the logistics chain.
– Excellent interpersonal skills (Customer focus): With only 1 to 3 delivery points per day, you spend time with the store reception teams. Your courtesy, diplomacy, and smile make you an appreciated contact person.
– Autonomy & Calmness: You know how to calmly manage road hazards (regional traffic, access to construction sites/stores) while remaining focused on the safety of your road train.
