Job Description

Your main mission:

Ensure the delivery of goods to points of sale (POS) in compliance with road and social transport regulations, hygiene and cleanliness rules, and the safety of goods and people. You transport goods under the conditions defined by your direct manager (economic driving, route adherence, POS access plan, safety protocol, etc.).

To do this, before your departure:

– You check the proper functioning of the vehicle (brakes, lighting, fuel, tires, etc.) at the start and during the route, and report any vehicle malfunction or non-conformity.

– You collect and check transport documents (delivery note, waybills, keys, etc.).

– You ensure the presence of regulatory documents on board the road train, as well as the availability/proper functioning of your PTI (isolated worker protection device).

– You check the coupling designated by the base’s dispatch department and perform the necessary checks for the proper functioning of the road train (connections and traction tests).

– You check the arrival of goods and control the temperature of the refrigerated trailer.

Upon your arrival at the delivery point:

– You unload goods in compliance with the safety protocols of the points of sale, by scanning its number and that of each handling support; the operation is generally done at the dock, but sometimes with a tailgate.

– You collect empty handling supports stacked by the point of sale, scan the label on each stack, collect bales of cardboard and plastic, and potentially goods to be returned to the base,

– You may be required to perform pickups.

Upon your return to base:

– Upon returning to base, you unload (at the dock, in the container area) the handling supports and bales collected from points of sale.

– You unload and clean the trailer at the container service, then position it on the indicated dock, respecting safety instructions.

– You refuel at the end of each shift and ensure the cleanliness of your cabin at the end of each shift.

– You store your handling equipment and power it on.

– You complete the administrative documents at the end of the route
