Heavy Truck Driver H/F – Nantes CDD

Job Description

We are looking for a Heavy Truck Driver H/F based in SAINTE LUCE SUR LOIRE (44) on a fixed-term contract (CDD).

Reporting to the Agency Manager, you will be responsible for the handling, transport and delivery of our equipment to our customers, respecting the rules inherent to your function.

Your main missions will be:

Driving and tour management:

• Become familiar with the customer’s requests written on the rental agreement and verify the conformity of the equipment allocated to the service;
• Respect the organization and timing of rentals to ensure delivery on time;
• Respect the rules of the Highway Code and adopt a responsible attitude behind the wheel.

Loading/Unloading:

• Know the range of equipment and its working tool to best assist the customer;
• Check the good condition of the truck (cleanliness/condition of the vehicle) and the available equipment (straps/auxiliary crane/beacons/driver card, etc.);
• Load and secure the equipment on the vehicle according to existing safety rules and standards, ensuring the good condition of the truck and accessories (straps, chains, etc.);
• Ensure the unloading of equipment on site in compliance with the safety regulations in force (wearing PPE, marking if necessary, unstrapping rules, use of auxiliary crane, etc.).

Delivery and customer relations:

• Deliver the equipment to the location requested by the customer, provide a demonstration if necessary;
• Be able to provide, if necessary, a first level of information and advice on the use of the equipment to the customer;
• Report any customer feedback or problems encountered during the tour to your supervisor.
