Job Offer – Cattle Transport Driver M/F
Job location: Arthez de Béarn (64)
Contract: Temporary
Hours: 4 days/week – Monday to Thursday
Start date: as soon as possible
Our agency is looking for a Driver specialized in cattle transport for one of its clients, a recognized and stable player in the agricultural sector.
Your missions
•Animal collection and sorting – You ensure local collection, sorting, and verification of cattle (identification, tagging, passport, compliance).
•Loading and unloading – You carry out operations in compliance with animal welfare and biosecurity guidelines.
•Local transport – You make short trips (200 km max/day) in departments 32, 40, 64, 65 and occasionally 33.
•Adherence to administrative procedures – Scanning/editing of collection and delivery notes, reporting anomalies, traceability.
•Routine equipment maintenance – First-level maintenance, vehicle inspection, reporting technical problems.
•Washing and disinfection – You ensure complete cleaning of the truck according to current standards.
•Strict adherence to standards – Animal transport legislation, hygiene, safety, biosecurity, animal welfare.
Your profile
•Experience in heavy truck driving related to the agricultural sector – Profiles from public works or children of breeders are appreciated.
•Important human contact – You interact daily with breeders.
•Rigor and sense of responsibility – You respect procedures and safety.
•Autonomy and calm – You know how to manage your routes and react with discernment.
•Motivation for a long-term position – You are looking for a stable and high-performing structure.
Work organization
•Start of service between 6 AM and 7:30 AM.
•End of service between 4 PM and 6 PM.
•4 days/week, mainly Monday to Thursday.
•Possible requests in case of significant schedule changes.
•Route details communicated the day before.
•No overnight stays.
Work time distribution:
•Driving: 50 %
•Loading / Unloading: 30 %
•Washing: 15 %
•Maintenance: 5 %
Onboarding & Training
•Job discovery: 1 day shadowing an experienced driver.
•Internal training: 2 to 3 weeks shadowing.
Salary conditions
•€14.50 gross/hour – 35h base (151.67h/month).
•13-month salary + bonuses + profit-sharing + participation + health insurance + CSE (Works Council).
•Meal allowance: €10 / worked day (value April 2026).
•Hours declared via WEBFLEET.
•Time accounted for from the attachment point (center or home depending on conditions).
•Overtime mainly recovered (time off in lieu).
