We are actively seeking a Heavy Truck Driver on a temporary basis for a dynamic and stimulating mission. As a Heavy Truck Driver on a temporary basis, you will be responsible for the delivery and transport of goods according to an established schedule in the transport sector.

Your missions

Vehicle preparation and verification

• Check the general condition of the vehicle (tires, oil levels, fuel, etc.).
• Perform safety checks and report any defects or problems to the maintenance department.
• Ensure that all vehicle documents are up to date (insurance, registration certificate, MOT).

Loading and unloading of goods

• Participate in the loading of the vehicle, ensuring the correct and secure distribution of goods.
• Ensure that the goods are properly secured to prevent any movement or damage during transport.
• Supervise or participate in the unloading of goods at the customer’s premises or at the depot.

Transport of goods

• Drive the vehicle in compliance with traffic regulations and safety rules.
• Respect the routes and delivery schedules defined by the company.
• Use navigation tools and communication equipment to optimize the route and stay in contact with the management center.

Administrative management and documentation

• Keep transport documents up to date (delivery notes, invoices, etc.).
• Complete tour reports and report any incidents or problems encountered during transport.
• Ensure the traceability of deliveries and transported goods.

Communication and customer relations

• Represent the company to customers by adopting a professional attitude.
• Communicate with customers to inform them of delivery times or to resolve any problems that occurred during transport.
• Ensure a good level of customer service and report any complaints or remarks to the department concerned.

Compliance with regulations and safety

• Comply with regulations regarding driving and rest times.
• Comply with safety standards, including those related to dangerous goods.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.

Routine maintenance

• Perform basic maintenance operations (cleaning, checking levels, etc.).
• Identify minor breakdowns and carry out simple repairs if possible.
• Report more complex maintenance or repair needs to the workshop.

Handling unforeseen events

• Know how to react to unforeseen events (breakdowns, accidents, delays).
• Communicate effectively with logistics teams and customers to minimize the impact of unforeseen events.

Prerequisites

• Valid C license
• FIMO (Professional Driver Qualification Card)
• Driver card
