Semi-Trailer Truck Driver (M/F) – Based in Langon

The Aquila RH Langon team is recruiting, as part of a **sustainable activity reinforcement**, a **Semi-Trailer Truck Driver (M/F)** for a **long-term temporary assignment**, with the **possibility of permanent employment** at the end.

This position is available **starting next week**, with a **buddy training period** alongside an experienced driver for a gradual familiarization with the routes.

Your Responsibilities

🚛 **Drive a semi-trailer truck combination** (flatbed and tautliner semi-trailer) on regional or wider regional routes.

📦 **Ensure the transport of metallurgical products**: steel bars, sheets, metal profiles… requiring care and rigor in handling.

🛠️ **Perform strapping and securing of goods**, independently, in compliance with safety rules and transport regulations.

📍 Make deliveries **without overnight stays** (return to the depot every evening), within a regional perimeter.

🤝 Maintain a professional relationship with clients during deliveries and ensure **exemplary behavior on the road**.

🧾 Manage transport documents (waybills, delivery notes…).

🧽 Ensure the **good working order and maintenance of the assigned vehicle**.

Prerequisites

• ✅ Hold a valid **CE (SPL) driving license**.

• 📄 Possess an **up-to-date FIMO or FCO for goods**, as well as a **driver card**.

• 🧠 Have a **good knowledge of road transport regulations**, driving and rest times.

• 🧰 Master **techniques for strapping, securing, and safe handling** of long and heavy goods.

• 🧭 Be able to read a loading plan or a delivery note.

• 🛠️ Be capable of performing basic mechanical tasks (visual checks, fluid levels…).

**Experience in the transport of metallurgical, construction, or material products** is highly valued.
