ACTUAL Experts Road Driving is recruiting a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Refuse Collection Vehicle Driver for one of its clients, a major and recognized player in waste recycling and recovery. At the wheel of a modern and technical vehicle, you play a central role for the community and the environment.
Your daily life: Public utility, technicality, and rigor. Working in tandem with your collection teammates (waste collectors), you manage your rounds with efficiency and care:<\/p>\n

– Collection & Rounds: Ensure the driving of the HGV Refuse Collection Vehicle to collect household and similar waste according to the schedule defined by operations.<\/p>\n

– Equipment Mastery: Check before and during the round the proper functioning of onboard systems (container lifters, compactors, hydraulic systems).<\/p>\n

– Precision Maneuvers: Perform frequent stops and delicate maneuvers (reversing, narrow streets) in complete safety for your team and users.<\/p>\n

– Regulations & Sorting: Strictly apply sorting instructions, collection procedures, and all road safety and health regulations.<\/p>\n

– Rigorous Monitoring: Complete your onboard documents (roadmaps, reports of anomalies or non-compliance of bins).<\/p>\n

The ideal profile for this position
Your essentials (prerequisites):<\/p>\n

– You hold a valid Class C driving license.<\/p>\n

– Your FIMO\/FCO goods and your driver<\/strong> card are valid.<\/p>\n

– A first experience in driving a Refuse Collection Vehicle or in urban delivery\/courier service is an asset, but beginners motivated by environmental professions are welcome.<\/p>\n

Your technical & field skills:<\/p>\n

– Urban driving mastery: You are particularly comfortable with imposing vehicle sizes in narrow streets, dead ends, and around urban furniture.<\/p>\n

– Mechanical and hydraulic sense: You quickly grasp the operation of compaction controls and container lifters to ensure the good condition of the equipment.<\/p>\n

– Trajectory management: Very frequent stops (stop-and-go) and repeated reversing are part of your daily routine and are mastered to the millimeter.<\/p>\n

– Absolute vigilance: Working during hours when users, pedestrians, and cyclists are scarce or just starting their day requires constant attention (rigorous blind spot management).<\/p>\n
