What will you be doing?
Imagine: it’s early in the morning and you arrive at our sorting center. You know exactly what your day looks like, because you already received your schedule on Thursday. You start at your designated time, get into your modern and well-equipped PostNL truck and check your routes. Today, routes are planned between our sorting locations and larger customers – about 400 kilometers, relatively longer distances with few stops. This makes your work physically manageable and clear.
Together with colleagues, you load the roll containers with mail and parcels. After that, you set off independently. Along the way, you enjoy the view and your own music, and the feeling that everything is well organized at PostNL: your schedule is predictable, your route planning is automatically adjusted if there are changes or if you’re stuck in traffic, your hours are neatly tracked, and your salary is precisely deposited into your account on the 23rd of every month. A great feeling! At our sorting locations, your colleagues help you with loading and unloading. At the end of your route, you deliver everything safely, park your truck, and go home on time.
Do you prefer to work during the week? Or only on weekends? You choose what suits you. Whether you want to work 1 day a week or 4 or 5. Everything is possible. This way, we combine your wishes with our planning.
What do you bring?
- A Dutch CE driving license and a valid Code 95.
- You are proficient in Dutch or English.
- You are available to work in a rotating pattern (early, day, late, night). If you wish, you can also work on Sundays or public holidays (not mandatory).
- You are a go-getter and enjoy working independently.
- You are physically able to load and unload roll containers and pallets.
- You have your own transport to the base location.
- You are reliable and meticulous: keeping appointments is a matter of course for you.
- You are flexible and can handle interim changes to your routes well.
What do we offer you?
- You start with a 12-month contract, with the prospect of a permanent contract upon good performance.
- Employment conditions according to the PostNL collective labor agreement, including a 20-40% surcharge for evening, night, and Saturday shifts, and a 100% surcharge on Sundays and public holidays. This surcharge averages €300 per month but can go up to €1,000.
