The position of heavy truck driver for waste transport aims to ensure the collection, secure transport, and delivery of different types of waste to sorting, treatment, or disposal centers, in strict compliance with current regulations and internal safety, cleanliness, and traceability instructions.
On a daily basis, the mission involves carrying out collection rounds according to a defined schedule, driving an equipped heavy truck (skip, hook lift, compactor, grapple, etc.), loading and unloading waste at customer sites, recycling centers, or collection points, and then transporting the loads to the designated facilities. The role includes prior verification of the vehicle (levels, general condition, safety equipment), performing compliance checks on the waste handled, and rigorously completing tracking documents (waste tracking forms, delivery notes, route sheets, computerized records).
The function also involves respecting routes and schedules, applying safety procedures during maneuvers, loading and unloading operations, and systematically reporting any incidents, vehicle malfunctions, or waste non-compliance. The position requires regular exchanges with operations, dock teams, treatment center operators, and on-site customers to ensure smooth collection, a good level of information, and optimal service continuity.
Through its activity, this role directly contributes to the operational performance of the company, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance of the waste sector. It participates in the control of environmental risks and the valorization of materials by ensuring a reliable, traceable, and safe transport of waste, while ensuring the company’s image on the road and at customers’ sites.
